With $75,000, the question is usually less “how much” and more “what if I die early?” This page shows the monthly income and what it costs to protect against that.

For $75,000, today’s best California quote pays a 70-year-old man about $562 a month for life. A 70-year-old woman would receive about $531 and a couple about $466. Buying at 65 instead pays about $502; at 75, about $659.

Best California quotes from our October 12, 2026 update (Securian Financial at every age shown), scaled from a $100,000 premium to $75,000. Non-qualified premium, monthly payments starting about one month after purchase, no cost-of-living increase; joint quotes are for a man and a woman of the same age. *Years of life-only payments to equal the premium, before taxes. Actual $75,000 quotes can differ slightly because some carriers price by premium band.

What Does a 10-Year Guarantee Cost at $75,000?

For a 70-year-old man, life only pays about $562 a month on $75,000. Adding a 10-year certain period lowers it to about $534, a difference of about $28 a month. In exchange, if he dies in the first 10 years, his beneficiary keeps receiving the payments for the rest of that period. For many people, $28 a month is a reasonable price for knowing the money won’t simply stop.
